Ben James
Ben started ironing his dollar bills from his paper route when he was 10 years old, and he has been strategizing how to take care of money ever since.
Ben is a Financial Advisor, President and Founder of Elevate Wealth Advisors. He has worked extensively in the field of financial management since 1997. He genuinely enjoys reading Prospectuses and Contracts (not joking here!). Ben ensures that our office is up to date on industry changes and investment updates. He plays an essential role during Client Strategy Sessions in reviewing how your wealth is working for you, and what we’re doing to reduce unnecessary risk.
A graduate of Portland State University with a degree in Finance, Ben is a CFA® charter holder, has a Certified Financial Planner™ designation through the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, and holds a Chartered Financial Consultant designation. He is a Registered Principal for, and holds securities registrations 7, 24, and 63 with LPL Financial. Ben is currently the President Elect of the Board of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce. Ben, wife Marki, twin boys Collin and Cormac along with third son Cameron live in West Linn. Ben enjoys spending time with his family, Taekwondo, Cub Scouts, and kayaking. Ben is also currently writing a book about our proprietary Playbook process for organizing clients’ financial household.
Daniel Nordstrom
Daniel loves coaching clients through their Playbook as well as having a dialogue regarding their overall financial goals, strategies, and implementation.
Daniel is also an LPL Financial Advisor at Elevate. He meets with you at least once per year for your Strategy Session. His favorite part of the job is facilitating our Playbook process and educating you on where your financial household is, where it could be, and how to get there.
Daniel brings a wealth of experience having served clients since 1999. He earned his Master of Divinity from Multnomah University in 2013 and became a Certified Financial Planner™ in 2017. He holds securities registrations 7, 63, and 65 with LPL Financial. Daniel is a proud native Oregonian and lives in North Portland with his wife, Meginn, and two children, Evie and Harold. He enjoys his family, his church, and hearing others’ stories. Daniel is also the Chair Elect of the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
Kay Lang
When we really need something done, we turn to Kay.
Kay is our Director of Research. She handles all of your special projects and unique requests. This is right up her alley since she loves researching and solving problems. Most of what she does for you is behind the scenes, but you can rest assured that she is keeping us all up to date on the movements of markets while running the office like a well-oiled machine. When we’re working on a special project for you, it’s most likely Kay tracking it to completion.
Kay has been involved in the investment management business since 1993. She was raised in Beaverton Oregon and earned her BS in Finance and BS in Marketing from the University of Oregon in 1992. Prior to joining the firm, she spent 18 years as an international and domestic equity trader at Columbia Management in Portland Oregon. Kay lives in West Linn with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys being outdoors with friends and family whether it be on a golf course, wine tasting up and down the west coast, or at Oregon Duck football games where she has been a season ticket holder since 1995.
Krista Pucci
Krista’s focus is enhancing your experience in office visits and phone communications.
Krista is our Officer of First Impressions. She provides legendary support & service that deepens our understanding of your needs and our ability to serve them. Krista is the first person you are likely to talk with when you call the office, the first one to greet you when you walk in the door, and the last one to wish you back soon as you depart. We are lucky to have such a warm and thoughtful person be our front office representative!
As a native Oregonian, Krista has a passion for the outdoors and enjoys trail riding with friends at Powell Butte or kayaking with her husband Rob and 4-year-old Frenchie mix named Betty. Her two grown children are nearby: one lives in Washington and the other here in Oregon. She loves to volunteer at the local barn, caring for the senior horses in many ways (exercising them on the trail and in the arena). Her favorite chore is doing bodywork/therapeutic massage to help them release tension and pain. Krista shares her love for animals and the great outdoors with her grandchildren. They love going to the barn with their “Grammy” to spend quality time together with the horses.
Mary Anne Elliott
Mary Anne holds your hand throughout the paperwork process.
Mary Anne is our Account Coordinator. If it’s paperwork or transfer related, she’s got you covered. Mary Anne mostly manages projects that are behind the scenes, so you’ll have to visit our office to experience her humor and wit. Entrepreneurial in spirit, she is creative, dedicated, and a strong team player.
Mary Anne did her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and graduate studies at the City University of Seattle. She has built a small business around her love of anything-antique-and-vintage as she operates a booth at an antique mall in Portland. She is also a volunteer and member of the governing counsel at Village at the Falls, an all-volunteer program that empowers our older neighbors to sustain independence. She lives in Oregon City with her two cats: Daisy and Edison. Mary Anne enjoys taking care of her garden, her cats, volunteering, and finding great deals on antiques.
